Welcome to Soccer City

  It was July 3, 1975 and the Timbers had just left the field for half-time in a match against the Vancouver Whitecaps. In front of a crowd of 18,278 Timbers general manager Don Paul walked to the middle of the field and announced "Welcome to Soccer City USA!" It may have been a long and rocky road, but Portland has regained its rightful title (if it was ever lost.) This shirt is our tribute to both that heritage and the Timbers Army setting the example for the future of soccer in the United States.
